KINDNESS AND LOVE

Sue O’Donnell. 15.09.20

“When our God and Saviour’s kindness and loved were revealed He saved us, not by any works of our self-righteousness, but through His own mercy.” (Titus 3 v 4 The Truth)

Love is creative and active,

A decision as well as a feeling.

Love is responsive,

Working together with Christ Jesus.

Love is inclusive,

According to God’s law affecting everybody.

Love has godly purpose,

In reconciling humanity to God’s mercy.

“There is one debt that you should always have: to love each other. The one who loves fulfils God’s purpose for his life. For love is really the fulfilment of what God has commanded us to do.” (Romans 13 v 8 The Truth)

Love is patient and tolerant,

Allowing for another’s faults and failings.

Love is humble and self effacing,

Placing any glory upon the Trinity.

Love is peaceful, never resentful,

For it is shaped by the Spirit of holiness.

Love is not jealous nor envious,

For it is made complete in itself, by Christ Jesus.

“But You, controlling Your strength, are mild in judgement, and govern us with great lenience, for You have only to will, and Your power is there. By acting thus, You have taught Your people that the upright must be kindly to his fellows, and You have given Your children the good hope that after sins You will grant repentance.” (Wisdom 12 v 18, 19 TNJB)

“Therefore, because you are His dearly loved children, seek to believe God your Father. Live a life full of love. Christ has commanded us to love others as He has loved us by giving His life in sacrifice for us, an offering to God that was totally pleasing to Him.” (Ephesians 5 v 1, 2 The Truth)

Therefore, let us pray, “For we are God’s fellow workers.” (1 Corinthians 3 v 9) Amen. Amen.
